About Tjello
Tjello is my Dutch spin on the Hindi phrase “Chalo!”
—which means “let’s go!”
To me it portrays the entrepreneurial spirit I felt and saw so often when I was living near Mumbai. In India, you see high-end salons alongside street barbers running a successful business from a plastic crate. This taught me a fundamental lesson: you don’t need to have it all to get started.
You just need to start.
With Tjello I hands-on support early-stage start-ups with the business side of things. I’m here to help you get to the next milestone faster with maximized efficiency.
Taking out of your hands what is slowing you down, streamlining documentation, automating workflows using simple tools, handling outreach, and eliminating operational noise. In short, enabling you to spend your time and talent where it matters most.

A few things about me

First things first, I started my career with an MSc in Biology and Business Studies.
I studied Biology out of pure curiosity to understand “life”. I will always be amazed by how everything on the planet is connected to each other.
Fun fact: when trees experience drought, they can make it rain by actively releasing micro-particles in the atmosphere.
After graduating, I wanted to broaden my scope while contributing to a positive impact for our planet. Over the past three years, I’ve worked with 27 impact-driven start-ups, rapidly expanding my technical understanding across precision fermentation, semiconductor edge chambers, advanced material science, cybersecurity software, and more.
Studying both Biology and Business has proven to be a big advantage —it trained me to quickly break down complex technologies and make connections between technical innovation and market needs. Working with so many different startups has been a natural flywheel: the more tech I expose myself to, the faster I understand the next.
Looking ahead, my goal is to deepen my expertise in deep tech and help as many early-stage companies move forward, faster. Our society faces massive challenges to build a sustainable and equitable world, and I firmly believe impact startups are a critical catalyst for that change. So, Tjello!
I would say these are my main three talents:
Relentless curiosity
I’m driven by the “why”. I love to learn, and preferably by diving deep into new technologies until I understand exactly how they work.
Analytical + creative thinking
My brain quickly connects dots, identifies problems and thinks of solutions. I can visualize the long-term goal and break it down into actionable steps.
Highly pragmatical
I bring a pragmatic approach to my work: quickly identifying bottlenecks and using the tools at hand to create simple, effective fixes.
